Under the strategy of petroleum sector to secure and continue the provision of natural gas for customers in (the power stations -cement factories - factories of steel - houses) for the continuous expansion of supply lines and the huge increase of stations and regulators, the need emerged to control, operation and supervision center in the public network of natural gas in great Cairo. This center started operation in 1998.
The center is controlling, operating and recording all the data of natural gas public network including the pressures, ingress/ egress of stations, main systems, tunnels of bridges, gauges, rates of flow, taken quantities of gas, rates of added smell, the statement of active and reserved lines, control over operations by the computers, advanced software and the systems of communication and remote control.
Now, the number of stations and regulators controlled by ESCADA is (60) and preparation is being recently conducted to connect (10) new stations in Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said and Ismailia and connect with the National Advanced Control Center (NATA).
